Ever feel like you go on vacation only to be surrounded by groups of people from your home country? You’re not alone. In fact, the countries where the most international tourists come from have just been revealed.

Mastercard’s Global Destination Cities Index: Origins ranks where the most international tourists come from, and their top destinations.

The report shows that the majority of international tourists are from the United States, with China close behind

This year also saw travel from across Asia-Pacific increase; the Republic of Korea and Taiwan, which were not in the top 10 a decade ago, rose to No. 6 and No. 10. A lot of travellers also come from the UK, France and Canada.

As for where these travellers like to visit? The top destination for US tourists is Cancun, Mexico; Chinese love Bangkok, Thailand and the Germans make a beeline for Mallorca, Spain.
