Whether you’re seeking a sandy stretch that feels like it’s your alone, hidden bays or buzzing party spots, we have all the top spots when it comes to the very best beaches in Spain.

Nowhere does golden sand and turquoise waters quite like Spain… From Ibiza to Mallorca, consider this your essential vacation guide…

The Best Beaches in Spain

1. Cala Saona – Formentera

Ibiza might be better known, but the neighbouring island of Formentera is just a short boat ride away and boasts one of the best beaches in the world. Formentera has over 20 km of beaches, from rocky coves through to white sand beaches, but Cala Saona is the prettiest.

2. Es Calo des Moro Beach – Mallorca

Mallorca is well known for its sandy beaches and hundreds of small inlets where you can bathe in crystal clear blue water. You’ll find this beach on the southern part of the island and be simply blown away by its natural beauty.

3. Malagueta Beach – Mallaga

Not only is this one of the closest beaches to the centre of town (fifteen minutes walking), but it’s also one of the prettiest places in Malaga. After all, you can’t visit the Costa del Sol and not post a photo of you at the beach!

4. Playa de La Bajadilla – Marbella

The perfect place to come that is slightly quieter than the other busier beaches in the city. Because it’s right beside the fishing port, you’ll end up with some absolute delights on your plate at the local restaurants.

5. La Concha – San Sebastian

Who knew Basque Country was home to such stunning shorelines? Remarkable sunsets tend to happen here, so head to La Concha with your camera in hand and prepare to snap the sexiest shot of the Spanish sun.

6. Benijo Beach – Tenerife

The perfect place to come and watch the sun set. You’ll find it in the Anaga Rural Park (Parque Rural de Anaga); if you get the right light with the jagged rocks in the background and beach in foreground you could have an epic photograph.

7. Barceloneta – Barcelona

Surf, sunbathe and eat your bodyweight in seafood at Barcelona’s beach. It’s not the most beautiful beach you’ll ever see, but that’s not the point. It’s one of the best beaches in Spain thanks to its amazing atmosphere.

It’s a hive of activity with heaps of restaurants and bars that serve sangria and great tapas.
