Sure, you might be coming to Disneyland Resort for the classic rides, the Main Street parades, or selfies in front of Sleeping Beauty’s Castle. But we come for the food. The food and snacks in Disneyland are seriously creative and just as magical as the park itself.

From the famous pineapple soft-serve to Mickey-shaped beignets that can rival those in New Orleans, here’s seven must-eat Disney snacks that you can enjoy year-round.

Best Snacks To Eat In Disneyland Resort

1. Mickey Beignets

Want to sit down for your tasty beignet? Go to Cafe Orleans, where these mouse-shaped beauties come with vanilla crème anglaise and fruit-coulis dipping sauces.

Or, for something super funky, the Mint Julep Bar is serving purple-sprinkles-covered Blackberry Beignets thanks to the return of the Fantasmic evening pyrotechnics show in Frontierland.

2. Dole Whip

This iconic frozen treat has been a favourite at Disneyland ever since 1976, when it was created exclusively for Adventureland by the folks at Dole Pineapple. You’ll find it at the Tiki Juice Bar stand outside the Enchanted Tiki Room. Order yours as a soft-serve, a float with pineapple juice, or go rogue with the Tahitian spices.

3. Turkey Legs

These jumbo drumsticks are sold at hot-food carts around the two parks—like Edelweiss Snacks in Fantasyland and the hot-foods cart in Hollywood Land. They’re pretty famous, with a salted ham-like flavour. And yes, they are BIG. They’ll set you back $12 but you’ll be full after it.

Each one weighs 1.5 pounds and comes from a male turkey.

4. Churros

There are more than a dozen churro carts around the parks—from outside The Haunted Mansion in Disneyland to A Bug’s Land in California Adventure. Keep an eye out for limited-release flavours. You can feast on golden-sugar-dusted churros in honour of Pirates of the Caribbean, or the Jedi-worthy, red and blue sugar “light-saber” churros in Tomorrowland.

5. Matterhorn Macaroons

These mountain-shaped coconut treats – covered with white-chocolate icing and sugary “snow”—are unique for Disney-themed goodies. Why? Well, they’re based not on a character, but an actual ride. From the Mary Poppins-themed Jolly Holiday Bakery Café (look for the telltale weather vane on top) you will have views of the ride itself.

6. Little Red Wagon Corn Dogs

Corn dogs are kinda basic, right? Not at Disneyland. Disney superfans swear by these classic snacks from Little Red Wagon food truck. The chicken-and-beef dogs are hand-dipped in batter before frying. It gives them that crunchy outside crisp and their sweet inside perfection.

Easily one of the must-eat foods in Disneyland Resort.

7. Mickeys’ Ice Cream Sandwich

You’ll spot these delicious Mickey vanilla ice creams at kiosks all across the park. Our top pick? Try the Premium Ice Cream Sandwich for a real treat. The wafer is . a little crispier than normal ice-cream sandwiches, and the ice-cream centre is cookies ‘n’ cream!

It’s the best way to cool down in that hot California sunshine.
