With its stunning beaches, rich history, and idyllic islands, it is no wonder Greece is one of Europe’s most popular holiday destinations. It is also a popular destination with night owls due to its lively after-dark scene. You’ll find many places to party all across the country, but some are better than others when it comes to letting your hair down. Wondering where is the best nightlife in Greece? 1. Athens

The country’s capital, Athens, has a super selection of sophisticated spots, from clubs to rooftop bars. The area of Exarchia is popular with a younger crowd with its gritty, underground dive bars. Koukaki has a more sophisticated vibe with nice bars and is close to the winding streets of Metaxourgeio, where you’ll find lots of cute and cosy places for cocktails. Clubbers should head to the areas of Gazi and Monastiraki, where you’ll find epic venues with international DJs playing and the streets packed with partygoers. 2. Mykonos

Often referred to as the Ibiza of Greece, Mykonos has a cool and cosmopolitan vibe with gorgeous beach clubs and chic cocktail bars. This gorgeous Greek island may be small but packs a punch for nightlife. There are loads of beachside bars, nighttime bars, and clubs that stay open late, so you can party around the clock. For the best beach nightlife, head to pretty Paradise Beach. Our favourite hot spots to hit here are Paradise Beach Club, Super Paradise Beach Club, and Tropicana Beach Bar and Restaurant. Most nights out on Mykonos start with frozen cocktails in a beach club to watch the sunset before heading to some epic nightclubs to dance till the sun rises.

3. Ios

The Greek island of Ios is a party hotspot for locals and tourists in the know. This island has a more laid-back vibe than the other Greek party islands, but you are still guaranteed a wicked night out with great music and dancing. Start your night bar hopping around the winding cobbled alleyways before heading to the dancefloor of the big clubs like Scorpion, Lemon, and Disco 69. 4. Crete

Crete is another popular party Greek island. The main party resort is Malia. This seaside town has many bars and clubs, including the famous Camelot Castle Club, which looks like a castle. Another great nightlife area that is a little less crowded is Hersonissos which has plenty of clubs lining the beach, including the New York Club. During the summer, there are many themed parties to attend, including foam, pool, beach, boat and paint glow parties. There is also a great full moon party on Bikini Beach.

5. Halkidiki

Halkidiki is quite the party hotspot. It is located in northern Greece near Thessaloniki, and the first peninsula of Halkidiki, Kassandra, has the best nightlife. The nightlife here is especially lively in the summer. Halkidiki has many pubs and clubs. Some of the most popular are Angels, Pearl, Ahoy, Aqua and Spitaki. Spitaki is a bit more laid back than the others, and you can enjoy a cocktail overlooking the sea from above.

6. Skiathos

Skiathos is in the Sporades, a group of Greek islands in the northwest Aegean Sea. Chora is probably the most lively resort with the best nightlife. The summer is one endless party with plenty of famous DJs dropping the beats at the many bars and clubs. The old port of Skiathos, the streets around Trion Lerachon Square, and the airport road are the three most popular areas for partying on the island.

7. Corfu

Corfu is a very popular Greek island, and the resort of Kavos is probably the island’s best party place. The main Kavos Strip is terrific for nightlife and clubbing, with two of the most popular clubs being Future and Atlantis, and the legendary Rolling Stone bar. The island also has fabulous beach clubs and stylish cocktail lounges, especially in the areas of Kontokali and Sidari. You’ll find many places to listen to traditional live music in Corfu Town.
