Some of our favourite beach bars in Ibiza include Cafe del Mar and El Chiringuito. 2. Sunny Beach, Bulgaria

Situated in the heart of the Balkans, Bulgaria is known for its rich, vibrant culture and warm, hospitable locals. The nightlife here has a welcoming, good-time vibe and chilled atmosphere. However, the nightlife in Sunny Beach, a popular party holiday destination, is pretty racous in its many beach bars. During the daytime, the beach bars are chill, but once the sun goes down, the partying heats up.

3. Lagos, Portugal

Lagos is a famous beach party spot in Portugal, and not just in the summer. The mild weather here means that they are plenty of parties on the beach all year round. The nightlife here features lots of wild parties with friendly vibes. Partygoers flock to this charming seaside resort because it has something for everyone, from live music to karaoke and super clubs to cosy pubs. The best part is that most establishments are open till 4am, so you can party all night and head out onto the beach to watch the sunrise.

This gorgeous Greek island may be small, but it packs a punch when it comes to nightlife. 5. Blackpool, England

OK, technically, not in Europe, but if you do make it to England this summer and want to party on the beach, head to Blackpool. This seaside resort in Lancashire is one of the best places in England for a boozy beach party. Its relatively cheap alcohol prices and an impressive selection of bars and clubs make it a super popular party destination. For its size, Blackpool really is a big hitter when it comes to nightlife. To make the most of the beach, spend the might bar hopping along The Promenade.

6. Hvar, Croatia

The beautiful island of Hvar has varied nightlife, from pulsating clubs to chilled-out beach bars, upscale lounges and plenty of open-top venues; there is something here to suit all types of partygoers. One of our favourite spots for a beach party is Hula Hula. This popular beach bar is the perfect place for chilling with a cocktail during the day. Watching the sun dip into the sparkling sea at dusk and dancing under the stars at night.

7. Biarritz, France

The Basque town of Biarritz is a surfer’s paradise and a brilliant place for a beach party. Biarritz might be small, but it certainly packs a punch. Parties here spill out from the bar onto the streets where everyone hangs out enjoying al fresco drinks but it is the late-night dancing on the beach that really captures the chilled-out vibe of this French town. The nightlife in Biarritz tends to really get going around May until October when the season workers and the surfers take over the town.
