2. Explore Old Town Square

Old Town Square is the cultural centre of Prague and is home to swarms of tourists. There is so much to see in Old Town Square from the beautiful baroque architecture and a festive atmosphere with street musicians and performers.

Come to the Old Town Square for the liveliest experience in Prague and visit some of the nearby sites in this charming part of Prague.

3. Prague Castle

Prague Castle is the most popular tourist attraction and is situated high above on a hill overlooking the river. It’s prominent spires and towers stand out and the castle looks more like a fortress than it does a castle. Today, it is the official residence of the Czech president.

Needless to say, you definitely have to come up to this beautiful Castle to visit and admire this elegant and fascinating structure.

4. The Astronomical Clock

The Astronomical Clock is exactly what it sounds like: a big, mechanical clock! Every hour, large crowds of tourists gather around this clock to watch the Astronomical Clock in action.

Created in 1410, the Astronomical Clock is one of the oldest astronomical clocks in the world and is enough reason to come check it out in the Old Town.

5. St. Vitus Cathedral

St. Vitus Cathedral is another must-visit in Prague is located on the Prague Castle grounds. Despite all of the history dating back hundreds of years, this Cathedral was only finished in 1929.

At this Cathedral, you will find mosaics, tombs, and stained glass work that dates back hundreds of years. These masterpieces makes this Cathedral a worthwhile visit in Prague.

6. National Monument on Vítkov

The National Monument on Vitkov is a massive bronze-statue memorial with the one-eyed warrior, Jan Žižka, proudly watching over the city of Prague. The memorial building on top of Vítkov Hill was built to honour the Czechoslovak legionaries.

Come to this monument to gain a greater perspective of the cultural heroes of the Czech Republic.

7. Visit the John Lennon Wall

The John Lennon Wall is a very cool tribute to the legendary singer of the Beatles. Located behind a church, this wall is a beautiful and locally-created mural where visitors are encouraged to draw on the wall.

If you’re a true Beatles fan, you need to come and take a few pictures of this wall and then head on over to the nearby Beatles Cafe for a drink.
