Every Lounge at Heathrow Airport: Terminals 2, 3, 4 and 5

London Heathrow Airport (LHR) is the busiest airport in Europe and the fifth-busiest in the world, transporting over 84.5 million passengers in 2025. With such a large passenger base, it is little surprise that Heathrow has so many lounges across its four terminals.

Some of these lounges are operated by specific airlines including Air France, Air Canada and Emirates, and are only available for certain customers flying with those airlines. However, there are also several airport lounges throughout Heathrow Airport which are open for all types of paying passengers, making them an ideal place to visit before boarding your flight.

It is important to note, however, that while access between terminals is easy through the extensive intra-airport transportation network at Heathrow Airport, visiting a lounge in a different terminal between flight connections is not possible. For example, you cannot visit a lounge in Terminal 2 if you are flying from Terminal 4. This is because the terminals are not connected within the secure area, and a valid boarding pass is needed to fly from each terminal.

Can You Pay for a Lounge at Heathrow Airport?

Yes, this is entirely possible. While some lounges only offer access to customers flying with that airline, there are many lounges which allow passengers regardless of airline status.

These include the Plaza Premium and Aspire lounges, and while prices vary (particularly depending on whether you book in advance or on the day), they can offer a relaxing respite before your flight away from the hustle and bustle of the main terminal.

Alternatively, some airline-specific lounges such as Emirates and United Club offer paid options subject to their individual eligibility rules.

As such, access to airport lounges at Heathrow Airport is not necessarily limited to frequent flyers or those in business or first class seats.

Terminal 2, officially known as the Queen’s Terminal, was opened in 2014 and has 24 gates. The terminal features lounges from airlines such as Aer Lingus, Lufthansa and Singapore Airlines, as well as a Plaza Premium Lounge which can be used by passengers travelling on any airline.
