Few foods around the world are as popular as the hamburger and there are some incredibly unique burgers out there. We wanted to focus on the countries that have taken the burger and put their own unique slant on it.

Given that travel is limited for many right now, there are also recipes for each burger that allow you to make these burgers yourself. You’ll find these in many countries, including Denmark, Belgium and Poland but the word comes from German originally. Frikadellen are eaten without a bun and are absolutely packed full of flavour.
