York is a beautiful old walled city in the north of England, which was founded by the Romans and which attracts millions of tourists each year.

1. The Clifford’s Tower
You’ll have to pay an entrance price for York Castle, but the reward is the best view you’ll see of the city below. The tower itself is also pretty on the outside for a second bonus photo.

The Cathedral and Metropolitical Church of Saint Peter in York is one of the largest in Europe and is mostly known by its short name, York Minster. You’ll get a great shot inside or outside, just get ready to be struck by the sheer size of it.

A small street that looks exactly what you’d imagine a quintessential English town to look like in your head. It’s always packed with tourists though, so you’ll need to come super early to get any sort of a decent shot.

This is a lovely place to relax and unwind in the heart of the city. Grab yourself a coffee or snack and sit on one of the benches with a friend, taking it all in. York Museum Gardens is home to some amazing trees and plants.
