3. Walk Around Old Town Dusseldorf

Dusseldorf is noted for its history and nowhere can that be more evident than taking a stroll through Old Town Dusseldorf. Despite being here since the mid-18th century, much of this old town is well preserved and maintained and is highlighted by the large statue of John William II that was put up in 1711!

For a taste of what Dusseldorf was like back in the 1700’s, you need to explore Old Town Dusseldorf.

4. Schlossturm

Standing at just over 100 feet, the Sclossturm is a castle tower that was originally part of the Dusseldorf Castle. It may not look like it, but this tower has a tremendous amount of history in it with each floor having been constructed at different times and most recently, this tower was retrofit with a new interior design in 2001.

Definitely come take a look at this old-looking castle tower on the outside but almost brand new on the inside.
