The best affordable hotels right in the heart of Reykjavik

Reykjavik is a top tourist destination thanks to its stunning geothermal surroundings, quaint high streets and of course the world-famous Blue Lagoon. But, another reason why Reykjavik may be well known is its collection of high-quality, stylish and convenient hotels and accommodation options. Reykjavik is usually expensive, as is the rest of Iceland, but if you know where to look you can find hotels that cost around £100 per night or less. Let’s take a look at some of the top most affordable hotels in Reykjavik:

7. Hilton Reykjavik Nordica

The 4-star Hilton Reykjavik Nordica is one of the top hotels in the city, and features all the basic amenities plus luxury extras like a spa, whirlpool and fitness centre, as well as free parking. Despite this, the price per night of this hotel for 1 adult costs around ISK 27,000, which is equivalent to around €184. As hotels in Reykjavik can cost around €280 per night, the price of the Hilton Nordica is a lot more affordable and the amenities offered at the hotel make it excellent value for money.

6. City Center Hotel

Prices: From €184

City Center Hotel is self explanatory in that it is slap bang in the middle of Reykjavik, with all of the city’s top sights and attractions mere steps away. The hotel itself is perfect for someone who perhaps can afford a little bit of leeway in their budget, but for people who have a budget of around €200 a night for a hotel, then look no further. 5. Foss Hotel Lind

Foss Hotel is Iceland’s largest hotel, located conveniently in the heart of Reykjavik. The hotel features basic amenities and has a stylish, modern and visually-appealing design that gives a feeling of luxury. The hotel is also a top choice for many business travellers, with state-of-the-art conference facilities.
