Agostinis is a fun, family-owned restaurant that serves regional Italian specialities. Pizzas are Neapolitan-style and come piping hot from their state-of-the-art Marana Forni pizza oven.

The Sotterranea is especially good: mushroom paste, fresh truffle, Italian sausage, Montastio cheese & Fior di Latte mozzarella.

Pizza Gusto keeps thing simple, but of seriously high quality. The dough is triple-proved for a light and crispy base and the pies are woodfired to perfection.

Meat lover? You need to order the Affetato. It comes with a tomato base, mozzarella, shaved ham, calabrese salami and fresh prosciutto. Snag a table outside and you’ll be in heaven.

This place is like if an Italian nonna opened a restaurant alongside her in-the-know grandchild. It’s all about authenticity, yet keeps its smarts: pizzas come in small, medium and large sizes and they will do a medium-sized gluten-free base, with vegan options.

The charcuterie is cured by nearby Balzanelli Small Goods. So, be sure to try The Italian Job which comes with their pancetta.

A lovely restaurant that’s been on the go for three generations and is still a top spot for delicious food. Salotto is cosy ‘n’ charming place in Kingston. The pizza menu only has six options, but you won’t need anything else.

All pizzas have Fiori di latte cheese and homemade napoletana sauce. And yes, all are amazing.

While most of the trade here is takeaway, they do have a small number of tables to sit-in if you can’t wait to get home. Mama Dough Pizza is funky and fresh, with some unique pizzas on their ‘Unusuals’ section: zucchini cream, spicy peppers, ricotta and speck.

Don’t worry, you can get a ‘Usual’ ham and mushroom or margherita too.

This cosy casual dining restaurant is great for families and friends, with live music on Sundays and an open fireplace, its the perfect chill spot.

From their sweet pear and cheese pizza to their BBQ meatlovers pizza, there’s something on this menu for everyone.

A mega-popular Italian restaurant in Canberra, Italian & Sons is an upmarket spot serving gourmet goods. Dough is proved for 48 hours and handmade in their Neapolitan wood-fired oven.

Try one of their white base pizzas for something different. Our pick is the ‘Green’: it’s with cabbage, chicory, fermented chilli & salted ricotta. A perfect choice for some of the best pizzas in Canberra.
