Best pizza in Bristol
1. Bosco Pizzeria
Bosco Pizzeria is inspired by both traditional Neapolitan-style pizza and pizza pioneers such as New York’s Robertas. There’s nine droolworthy tomato-base pies to choose from, and four white bases. Highlights include the Carciofi pizza with roast artichokes, taleggio cheese, green olives and pecorino.
2. Flour & Ash
Flour & Ash is a small local pizzeria that makes their award-winning sourdough pizzas using local ingredients. There’s some unusual and creative pizza toppings to choose from, such as ox cheek with red wine ragu or a melt-in-the-mouth tuna belly and parmesan creme fraiche. Divine.
3. G Brothers Pizza
This is a great Essex pizza spot! The excellently named Green Eggs & Ham comes with fior di latte, Rosso Gargano tomato sauce, marinated artichoke, egg, seasonal veg, Serrano ham and parmesan. Vegan? You’ll love the Jack to the Future with homemade cashew cheese and jackfruit.
4. Pizzarova
Pizzarova serves up droolworthy sourdough pizzas from three venues in Bristol, so you’re never too far away. Their OG store on Glouchester Road is our fave: you can watch their team making your pizza fresh to order in their open kitchen, and they even have our prep kitchen on show so pop in and watch them mixing up their ‘secret’ sourdough.
5. The Bristol Stable
The Bristol Stable make their sourdough pizza bases and signature tomato sauce every morning, so it’s as fresh as it gets. Sourdough pizza has a light, crisp base with a soft, pillowy and slightly crisp crust, made by hand stretching. Tasty toppings include smoked salmon, smoked mackerel, spinach and mozzarella.
6. Moltobuono!59
This is a charming Italian family-run restaurant with authentic recipes passed through generations. Their pizzas are super authentic and stick to the principles of Neapolitan cooking so tightly that you could easily be sitting in Naples when eating here.
7. Pizza Workshop
The incredible pizzas here are made from a 100% sourdough base with no added yeast, slowly risen over 30 hours, resulting in an incredibly light and delicious dough. Toppings include wild mushrooms, Spanish chorizo and the choice of vegan cheese.
