The third wave of coffee has been sweeping over Asia in the last decade, with great coffee fast becoming the norm. So we’re celebrating with a shout out to the very best coffee in Chiang Mai. The coffee scene here is absolutely explosive, with plenty of stylish cafes and specialty coffee to be found.

A whole range of passionate coffee enthusiasts has been redefining our expectations, educating both the consumers and other people entering the coffee industry. Those are the coffee shops we wanted to celebrate today. Some are big, some are small, but they are all equally passionate about their product.

Best Coffee In Chiang Mai

1. Yellow Crafts Home Brewing

Chiang Mai’s speciality coffee scene is soaring, and nowhere else proves this more than Yellow Crafts Home Brewing. They specialise in drip brews and have creative drinks made with pumpkin slices. They even make their own fresh soy milk in-house daily.

2. Ristr8to

As an international traveller, you’ll likely love that the coffee here is inspired by the specialty coffee culture around the world, particularly in Australia. They use exclusively doppio Ristretto for all the hot coffee and sell delicious bags of single-origin coffee you can take back home with you. Definitely do.

3. Into the Woods

This perfectly-named cafe is fairytale-inspired in decor and menu items. Wander into the enchanting locale and prepare to be welcomed by magical murals and the smell of home-style desserts baked fresh daily. Order whatever sounds good and then wait as they prepare some of the most impressive character-themed latte art you’ve ever seen.

4. GRAPH CAFE

At a cafe where the coffee comes straight from farms in Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai, you’d think that the tasty quality of the drinks would be the most attractive thing about the place. However, Graph Cafe is known as one of the most Instagrammable cafes in all of Thailand. Order a creative drink such as a Lost Garden, which is nitrogen-brew coffee infused with rose water, and then prepare to snap endless pics of the place.

5. The Baristro

Love everything coffee? Book a stay at the inspiring new hotel-slash-coffee initiative called The Barisotel by the Baristro. The minimalist, whitewashed decor feels clean, crisp, and welcoming whether you’re planning to stay the evening or not. Drinks range from delectably sweet to the ever-classic iced coffee.
