These burgers are so big that you may have to go the knife and fork route, but the truly brave will try to tackle these burgers in one go. A great sports bar with plenty of cold beer on tap to wash it all down with.

49th. Beaver Brewing Company – Vienna, Austria

Beaver Brewing Company is an American style craft brewery where the beers are fantastic; the only thing that enhances the experience even more is the their wonderful big, tasty burgers.

48th. Roxor – Bratislava, Slovakia

So much thought goes into creating each one of these unique masterpieces that when it comes to the table you don’t know if you should admire and photograph it, or just stuff it straight into your mouth. We’ll opt for the latter…

They focus on cooking the burgers fresh here with amazing ingredients (everybody talks about the bacon) and the end result is an understated, elegant and delicious burger.

30th. Mac & Wild – London, United Kingdom

Mac & Wild have lightly more luxurious settings than many of the spots listed here, but this modern Scottish-heritage restaurant highlights the absolute best ingredients and makes a burger so good that we’d give up a month’s salary for it.

They focus on super quality organic ingredients here, which you can taste in the end product. There’s a huge variety in the toppings and meats you can order, meaning you might never have the same burger twice.

25th. Broebbeleir – Brussels, Belgium

Not only are you getting a world class burger here, but you also get to combine it with the famous Belgian “frites” and their beer, which is widely regarded as the best in the world .

24th. Tommi’s Burger Joint – Copenhagen, Denmark

This burger joint is an institution for locals in the hip meatpacking district. Nothing beats hanging out here with a few good friends, stacking up on burgers and fries.

Social Burgerjoint have four locations around the city and started off by making their burgers super classical in style and taste. Just about big enough to get into your mouth but the double patty is only for the serious eaters. Delicious.

`This famous steakhouse started life in London, but sitting in the bar here in Manchester with one of their classic burgers (and maybe one of their famous cocktails to wash it down with) should be illegal it’s so much fun.

Locals have voted this the best burger in the area three years in a row and it’s not hard to see why. Huge portions and epic flavours that will have you hooked.

You’d expect the culinary capital of of the world to nail the humble burger and they certainly do in this spot. Order it with the cheese fries on the side and you will be in heaven.

17th. Shoreditch Bar and Kitchen – St Julian’s, Malta

Sure, Malta is an island with some gorgeous fish and Mediterranean food but forget that for a night out in Shoreditch Bar and Kitchen, with some of their cheat meals washed down with a couple of beers. A top top burger.

Bread Meats Bread certainly don’t hold back on the cheese, and some people have even been known to go for the triple patty burger in their order. There’s some serious eating in this one.

Simon runs his burger operation from a 1975 Citroen van. You can find him in a brewery, selling burgers at pop up events and even running a burger catering operation.
