3. EVÍN Wine Store

Evín Wine store & bar is a small-but-mighty wine shop and bar in the historic centre of Ghent, just past the Castle of the Counts. The owner Eva changes the menu every month to include 15 new wines, with red, white, sparkling and seasonal picks. They also offer a great wine tasting here, where you and friends can try up to 10 delicious wines.

Baravins is a modern and stylish (those chairs!) wine bar with a quirky wine list that gives you a choice of wines from small, family vintners, such as the Flemish local wines made by Wijndomein Waes. There’s a huge range of over 100 wines by the glass, with over 220 by the bottle. Sitting here on the sun-drenched terrace is a must when in Ghent.

One of the best wine bars in Ghent, Win is a delicious breakfast spot and cafe by day, while in the evening it’s the perfect place to sip some wine. The wine list changes regularly, always focusing on energetic, exciting wines made from nothing but super healthy grapes, with no added yeasts or enzymes and little or no sulphites.

6. SOMM

SOMM is an elegant wine bar and bistro, located in a historic 17th-century building. There’s 15 wines you can order by the glass, with both traditional styles and more unusual wines to try. All the wines are chosen personally by owner and sommelier Marina Claus, who is more than happy to steer you towards the perfect wine.

At Grapes of Glory, you can taste various kinds of wine with a menu of delicious tapas to pair with them. Try wines from traditional wine countries such as France, Italy and Spain as well as from lesser-known wine-producing countries such as Croatia.
