The Fort Worth Stockyards is a kind of like taking a journey back in time. At the Stockyards, you get a glimpse into what life was like back in the 1860s (when the Stockyards was built). They’ve made this area more tourist-friendly by adding shops, museums, and rodeos.

3. Kimbell Art Museum

4. Fort Worth Water Gardens

The Fort Worth Water Gardens is one of the coolest things to check out in the city. These Gardens feature three pools that is meant to help citizens cool off from the intense Texas heat.

The largest of the pools here called “Active Pool” is a 38-feet tall fountain that is amazing to take a picture of and cool off in!

5. Fort Worth Zoo

The Fort Worth Zoo has been around for over 100 years and showcases different animals and species. From endangered to threatened species, the Zoo features a flamingo breeding colony and all four Great Ape species.

6. Fort Worth Botanic Garden

This Botanic Garden is the oldest one in Texas and has over 2,500 different plants spread out in over 20 gardens. This popular attraction covers over 109 acres with the highlight here being the Japanese Garden full of koi ponds, cherry blossom trees, a Zen Garden, and a teahouse.

7. Sundance Square

Sundance Square is a large 35-block section of downtown and is popular among locals and tourists alike for the sheer amount of things to do. This area is great to explore on foot and there are numerous restaurants, shops, bars, museums, cafes, and hotels around the area.
