Curious to know which cities have the best nightlife? Our guide covers cities with a unique offering when it comes to nocturnal activities. From Barcelona’s brilliant late-night bars to the tango halls of Buenos Aires, we’ve scoured the globe to bring you the best places to get your party on.

Which Cities have the Best Nightlife?

1. Mexico City, Mexico

Mexico City has some of the best nightlife in Latin America, let alone Mexico. Condesa, Polanco, and Roma Norte are the three main party neighbourhoods. However, we prefer the Juarez neighbourhood, as it is one of the best neighbourhoods in Mexico City for local nightlife. Most clubs don’t get going until at least 2 am, but you will be greeted with incredible street food to replenish when you stumble out of the club in the morning.

2. Buenos Aires, Argentina

Buenos Aires is called the ‘Paris of the South’ as it is sophisticated, classy, and romantic. The city is also the home of tango, so you’ll find tango halls, bars, and clubs, where you can learn this sultry dance. If you go clubbing in Buenos Aires, be prepared to stick it out for the long haul, as most clubs don’t even open until 1 or 2 am. Buenos Aires is a haven for party animals and is one of the most LGBTQ+-friendly cities in Latin America. You’ll find plenty of gay clubs and bars, but the open-minded, welcoming attitude persists across the city no matter where you go.

3. Miami, USA

Miami is famous for its flashy and trendy nightlife. You can sip cocktails on the many classy rooftop bars that overlook the glittering city before dancing the night away in an underground club. From the mega clubs of South Beach to the hip warehouse scene in Wynwood and Downtown, there’s something for everyone in Miami, regardless of your party style.

4. Belgrade, Serbia

Belgrade is being hyped as the New Berlin due to its wild, free-spirited nightlife scene and pumping clubs. During the summer months, you can dance all night long at epic beach parties and river clubs located along Ušće quay and the pier behind the Belgrade Fair. When the summer season ends, the partying keeps going and during the winter months, there are pulsating indoor clubs, bars, and taverns to enjoy.

5. Byron Bay, Australia

The surf town of Bryon Bay is a party paradise. Home to some of the most incredible scenery in Australia, nights out here usually start out on the sand, sipping cocktails and watching the sunset. In fact, most of the nightlife feels like one big beach party and pub crawl – bar hopping is very popular here with backpackers. Bryon is also famous for its terrific live music venues that play everything from reggae to rock.

6. Seoul, South Korea

Seoul’s nightlife is dynamic, exciting, and surprising. Locals here work hard and play hard, so don’t try and keep up with them. The neon-lit streets are home to all manner of nightlife venues, from upscale clubs and classy rooftop bars to wild international bars, gay bars and drag shows. Some of the best nightlife neighbourhoods include Hongdae, Itaewon, Homo Hill, Gangnam, Apgujeong, and Cheongdam-dong.

7. Liverpool

Which cities have the best nightlife in the UK? Well, Liverpool is one of our favourite cities for a night out in England. It has long been the go-to UK nightlife destination for stag/hen do’s, birthday nights out, and university students. It has a great vibe and the compact nature of Liverpool’s nightlife spots means they are within walking distance of each other. As for some of the best spots? Well, on Mathew Street, you’ll find the iconic Cavern Club, where the Beatles played, and The Baltic Triangle is where you’ll find underground clubs where you can dance the night away.
