This is not a drill – you can actually get paid to live on an island off the coast of San Francisco. East Brother Light Station is on an island that’s home to both a lighthouse and a small inn, and the not-for-profit is looking for a couple to look after it.

There’s no Wi-Fi, no TV – just an absolutely beautiful island. Oh, and an annual salary of $130,000. SFGate reports that the job will provide bed and board on the island.

Who wouldn’t want to live on East Brother Light Station?

Successful candidates will cook, clean, and ferry guests to the island inn by boat

You must possess a Coast Guard commercial boat operator’s license, as well as “high quality culinary experience.”

The new keepers will start in mid-April 2019, allowing two weeks for training. Want to apply? You can download the application form here.
