Riley’s Fish Stack in Tynemouth is a must! It’s a beach hut on the sea front serving freshly caught fish and steak. My favourite place to eat casually.

Barlgua on Grey Street, has a lovely terrace to sit on and has easy parking.

5. Best Place for Brunch?

Kith and Kin, not in the city centre but it’s amazing! The best French Toast ever.

6. Where to Get an Amazing Budget-Meal?

Nandos! Always!

7. Bar for Drinks with Friends?

Defiantly Pitcher and Piano in the summer, its right on the quayside

8. Best Cocktail Bar?

Horticulture has the best selection for cocktails and also a great terrace.

9. Bar/Club for a Big Night Out?

Avekia, followed by Livello.

10. Unmissable Thing to Do in the City?

Visit Stack, it’s a hub of outdoor bars and independent restaurant pop ups. So much fun, always live music and a great vibe.

11. Favourite Place for a Staycation?

Vermont hotel is lovely, with great views and rooms.

12. How to get Around the City Like a Local?

Newcastle is quite a small city so you can walk most places. Unlike a lot of larger cities everyone drives here so Uber is really easy to use

13. Favourite Outdoor Space for Chilling Out?

Chaophrya actually have a stunning roof terrace you can go for drinks in the summer, not sure many people know about it!

14. Best Market in the City?

Stack again, loads of pop up restaurants and street food.

15. Top Workout in the City?

Riot boxing gym is great, they have classes most days.

16. Best Things to do with Kids in the City?

My little brother always loved the Centre for Life, it’s right in the city centre next to the train station so it’s very convenient.
