1.Cosmorex Coffee
For 35 years and over three generations, the Sciannimanica family have been roasting quality coffee in Fyshwick from all over the world and are Canberra’s longest standing coffee roasters. All that experience shines through with their delicious brews.
2. Barrio Collective
Their focus here is simple: to serve incredible coffee and delicious food, and ohh-boy they do it so well. Barrio have a genuine and natural focus on seasonal local produce, with coffee sourced from Canberra-based Project Origin and roasted themselves.
3. The Cupping Room
Canberra’s very own place of coffee worship, The Cupping Room is a concept cafe that takes its customers on a flavour journey across a range of coffee blends. The team includes world champion barista Sasa Sestic, so you’re in safe hands here. Coffee comes from sister spot, Ona Coffee, which is a great specialty coffee roaster.
4. Coffee Lab
Coffee Lab is a beloved place for coffee in Canberra, thanks to its expert brews and super friendly baristas.
As for where the ‘lab’ part comes into play? Grab a quick brew to go or sit down and ask one of their staff about what experiments are happening at the moment. You’ll be sure to try something new.
5. 3 Degrees Coffee
Make your way to Bailey’s Arcade in the city for this super pretty hole-in-the-wall coffee joint. 3 Degrees Coffee might be small, but the brews are mighty. They use roasted beans from local Red Brick Espresso, and bake most of their gourmet goodies themselves.
6. Harvest
Whether you’re in the mood for the perfect espresso, pour over or cold brew, Harvest will sort you out with a solid refuel. It’s been a long-term favourite for coffee fans in Canberra thanks to its range of quality coffee serves.
They also sell beans to take home, so you can try to replicate your brew.
7. Močan and Green Grout
Mocan and Green Grout is a cafe with strong Canberra roots. They champion local ingredients and artists in-store, and use Fairtrade Organic coffee beans. As well as serving up great coffee, their food menu is a highlight: think local produce that changes with the seasons.
