Sydney is filled with trendy and cosy , but when you’ve just rolled out of bed on the weekend, nothing hits the spot quite like a tasty, boozy brunch.

A meal where you can eat huge portions of food and where it is socially acceptable to drink cocktails and beer before lunch time? We’re big fans. Add on stunning views of the Sydney harbour and some of the best service in the country and it’s easy to see why brunch in Sydney is so popular.

This not-quite-breakfast and not-quite-lunch beauty is the shining beacon of our weekends. And, we’re sure you’re about to fall in love with brunch in , too. Check out these seven hotspots for quality, tasty brunch.

Best Places For Brunch In Sydney

1. The Grounds of Alexandria

When visiting Sydney, checking out The Grounds of Alexandria is a must, regardless of whether you stop by for brunch, lunch, or a simple cup of coffee. A lush garden welcomes you to the ultra-trendy space where you’ll find everything from flower stalls and organic vegetables to undoubtedly one of the best brunches in Sydney. Steak and eggs, fruit-filled oats bowls, and other Instagrammable dishes are all standard and can be enjoyed amidst the greenery.

2. Bill’s

Bill is synonymous with brunch in Sydney, both in terms of the scrumptious food and the Instagrammable decor. Each location looks like it’s straight out of an Instagrammer’s social feed. Hungry locals line up each weekend to get a taste of the world-famous Ricotta hotcakes here, but you can enjoy brunch at any one of their three locations in Bondi Beach, Darlinghurst, and Surry Hills. Spiced Bloody Marys are also a great choice, but when is a Blood Mary never a good choice?

3. Platform Eighty Two

There’s a reason why Platform Eighty Two has turned into such a viral sensation. One look at their impressive breakfast platters and it’s easy to see why they’re consistently ranked as one of the best places for brunch in Sydney. Their multi-tiered platters are ideal for any brunch meal as they’re towering with both sweet and savoury dishes. Treat yourself to pancakes with ice cream, avocado, bacon, eggs, and honestly pretty much anything your heart (er, stomach) desires.

4. Single O

A trendy, eye-catching exterior might lure you into Single O for a lazy weekend brunch. If it doesn’t, then the smell of freshly-brewed coffee will. Here, they’re passionate about serving quality, ethically-sourced coffee, which should be the base for any brunch, really. They pair their superb coffee with delightfully fresh and healthy brunch dishes, such as their Gone Bush. It features smoked bean cassoulette, native spices, muntries, warrigal greens pesto, poached eggs, curd, and toast.

5. The Boat House

With a name like The Boat House, it’s clear as to the kind of vibes you can express from this trendy hotspot. Home to numerous weddings and Instagram-tagged photos, The Boat House is also one of Sydney’s best brunch spots. Sweeping waterfront views and a dining room flooded with sunlight set the stage for a quality afternoon of eating. Indulge in a glass or two of rose as you munch on their famous sausage sandwich. Life doesn’t get any better than this.

6. Porch and Parlour

Porch and Parlour is a bustling beachfront cafe on Bondi Beach. And, aside from being one of the cosiest, laid back places for brunch in Sydney, it’s one of the best places for seaside photos. And, while we know that brunch isn’t all about the ‘gram, this is a great place for both brunch and beautiful shots of yourself eating it. Tasty brunch dishes include a super sweet cinnamon bun French toast with blueberry compote. It’s as delicious as it sounds.

7. Social Hideout

Finally, it wouldn’t be a list of the best spots for brunch in Sydney without mentioning one of the absolute best of all – Social Hideout. This is by far one of the most Instagrammable cafes in Sydney, and its famous for being trendy and photogenic. However, their eccentric flower wall isn’t all they’ve got to offer. Their all-day brunch showcases such scrumptious dishes as green tea French toast, taro hotcakes, and panna cotta granola bowls. Instagrammable? Absolutely? Mouthwatering and delicious? For sure.
