Oregon has beautiful coast, volcanic mountains, crystal-clear lakes and deserts that stretch as far as the eye can see. Not only that, it’s also where you’ll find some of America’s greatest craft beer, and wine regions, as well as handcrafted sea salt, ice cream, cheese and more.

1. St John’s Bridge

This hugely impressive steel bridge spans the Willamette River in Portland, Oregon and makes the perfect backdrop for a stunning Instagram snap.

2. Bend

Bend is a small town that’s home to some of the best skiing and mountain activities in the state. When the sun shines up here and the powder is perfect you’ll feel seriously good about life.

3. Boardman Scenic Corridor

A 12 mile long state park that offers some of the best views imaginable, with a perfect mixture of forest and coastline.

4. Pittock Mansion

Built in 1914, Pittock Mansion tells the story of Portland’s transformation from pioneer town to modern, industrialised city. Saved from demolition by dedicated citizens in 1964, the Mansion and surrounding estate was purchased by the City of Portland and opened to the public as a historic house museum.

5. Thor’s Well

This huge gaping natural sinkhole sits right on the edge of the ocean – sitting here watching it is absolutely mesmerising.

6. Sweet Creek Falls

Superbly family friendly, this collection of small waterfalls adds extra beauty to a shady hiking trail with fun bridges and metal walkways skirting the creek. Delightful year-round.
