1. Carhenge

This unique replica of the world-famous Stonehenge was constructed of old cars in 1987. Whether you’ve seen the original or not, this is still a cool thing to see.

2. Scotts Bluff National Monument

Scotts Bluff has served as a landmark for people travelling in the area for centuries. Drive Summit Road 1.6 miles to the top of Scotts Bluff for an unbeatable view.

3. Chimney Rock

“Towering to the heavens” is how one pioneer described Chimney Rock, the most recognised landmark along the Oregon Trail. It’s just as impressive today.

4. Oglala National Grassland

The unique Oglala Grassland is a popular place in Nebraska to view prairie dog colonies as you wander through the vivid grass.

5. Toadstool Geologic Park

The “moonscape” of the Badlands is an unusual setting for a picnic. The rock formations look almost like mushrooms, so you can see how Toadstool Park got its name.

As well as being a beautiful oasis of flowers and tropical plants, this Botanical Garden also has a fun dinosaur exhibit, with 20 life-sized installations of prehistoric creatures hidden throughout the gardens.
