Settle in for a full meal of chicken and waffles or even stop by for a sample of some fantastic PoBoy sandwiches. But, just be sure not to miss out on their jumbo, flavourful fried chicken wings. The crispy skin tastes delightfully perfect with the tender meat below.
Hurricane Sports Grill is easily one of the best places for chicken wings in Wichita. But, they serve up so many other fantastic dishes that you’re absolutely going to have to head back for a second or third visit. We suggest order their Perfect Storm started so you can try the Firecracker Shrimp, Fried Pickles, Boneless Wings and Garlic n Parm Fries. The wings are, of course, the star of the show, however.
What’s better than chicken and biscuits? Not much, honestly, especially if you get them both at Dempsey’s Biscuit Co. Breakfast, lunch, brunch or even dinner, this Wichita hotspot specialises in, you guessed it, world-class biscuits. Order them with hot chicken, Or, stick with the basics and simply get a round of simple wings. They serve it all to near perfection.
The Monarch is one of Wichita’s best bars and gastropubs. So, whether you’re after strong craft cocktails or a simple appetizer, rest assured that they’ll serve it up to your liking. However, we can’t stop thinking about the chicken wings. The plate comes with five whole wings that they’ve dry-rubbed, smoked and finished with house-made Bourbon Siriacha BBQ. It’s as tantalising as it sounds.
This burger pub actually made our list of the seven best burgers in Wichita as well. But, with such a fine, flavourful menu, it’s hard not to feel pulled towards their incredibly saucy tossed chicken wings, too. They serve some seriously savoury bone-in wings that they’ll toss, cover and douse in either Korean BBQ, Grilled Pineapple or Hot Buffalo sauce.
