1. Cappy’s Hotspot Bar & Grill

Cappy’s truly is a local hotspot, home to live music every Friday and fantastic food and drink every day of the week. And, while you should definitely visit on a Friday to enjoy the tunes of some of the best local bands, Wednesday night is wing night. They offer 69 cent wings from 3 to 8 pm and will even grill ’em up for just five cents extra. They’re simple yet oh-so-flavourful.

2. HopCat

As one of Lincoln’s best beer bars, it comes as no surprise that this spot pairs their brews with tasty chicken wings. They specialise in what they like to call “craft and comfort,” meaning that they’ll serve craft beer and comfort food in one of the city’s cosiest bars. Their jumbo wings come tossed in Fire, Smoky BBQ, Gochujang Sauce or Honey Sriracha. Yum.

3. The N Zone

According to local reports, this sports bar goes through at least three to five 40-pound boxes of wings one gamedays alone. As the most popular item on the menu by far, this is one of the best spots in Lincoln to sample fine, bar-style chicken wings. With both boneless and bone-in wings, you’ll be able to have them drenched in any one of their 14 tasty sauces. Be sure to sample more than a few.

4. The Garage

The Garage might be one of the hottest sports bars in Lincoln, but they serve more than just sports bar food. The menu here features elevated pub fare and dishes with superb flavours. Their chicken wings, however, are second to none. They’re incredibly tender and super juicy. Get them with Teriyaki, Mild, Sweet Heat Chili, General Tso’s, BBQ, Spicy BBQ Hot or Fire Sauce.

5. C. Berry’s

From smoked cheeseburgers to pulled pork and burnt ends, C. Berry’s is often hailed as one of the best BBQ joins in Lincoln. So, they sure do know a thing or two about smoking meats. When they’ve got ’em, they’ll serve them up jumbo-style. That just means more tender, meaty goodness to bite down into as you prepare your palate for even more world-class BBQ meat.

6. Buzzard Billy’s

Located in the Historic Haymarket section of Lincoln, Buzzard Billy’s is a unique fusion between modern American and New Orleans cuisines. So, when it comes to their chicken wings, you’ll notice a unique array of flavours. Specifically, we’re talking about the Maple BBQ and Bayou Bourbon sauces. The latter is a delectable flavour you won’t find anywhere else in the state.

7. Southwest Pit BBQ

Slow-smoked BBQ plates are the specialty here, but you’ll also find lots of great sides and sandwiches to fill you up, too. Their jumbo wings feature fall-off-the-bone meat that’s so flavourful you won’t even need to add any sauce. Order them naked, BBQ-style, or smothered in Hot or Thai Peanut Chili sauce. Our suggestion? Try them all.
