Adelaide‘s Central Market offers a huge range of fresh food including fruit and vegetables, meat and poultry, seafood, cheeses, bakery, small goods and health foods, along with some of Adelaide’s most popular cafes and eateries. There’s over 70 traders, so you’re sure to find something you like.

In a nutshell, it’s a one-stop-shop for everything delicious.

2. How do I get there?

The Adelaide Central Market is nicely located in the heart of the Adelaide CBD, on 44-60 Gouger Street.

• Tram: The City to Bay Tram stops right on the market’s doorstep in Victoria Square/Tarndanyangga.
• Bus: The City Connector bus has hop-on and hop-off stops located on Grote Street.
• Car: There’s 1,000 undercover parking spaces available in the Central Market UPark.

3. How much will it cost?

Browsing is obviously free, but expect to be tempted by all the incredibly fresh food on offer. You can except to have a decent lunch and coffee here for under $20.

4. How long will it take?

By the time you’ve strolled around, eaten your fill in the finest South Australian grub and had a nosy at the book and retail area, you could easily spend two hours here.
