Compare Car Rental at La Crosse Regional Airport (LSE)
Previously known as La Crosse Municipal Airport, La Crosse Regional Airport (LSE) is a public airport situated 5 nautical miles northeast of the city center of La Crosse in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The airport itself is perched on the northern part of French Island, adjacent to the Mississippi River. This is the 6th busiest commercial airport in Wisconsin in terms of passengers served, out of a total of 8.
The airport is spread across 1,380 acres (558 hectares) and has 3 runways. A contemporary two-story passenger terminal with 3 gates serves the airport. 6 daily departures and arrivals with direct service to Chicago, Detroit, and Minneapolis are provided by two major airlines, Delta Air Lines (served by Delta Connection) and American Airlines (served by American Eagle).
There are also 4 car rental agencies located at the airport, in case you want to pick up a vehicle to explore the Wisconsin countryside with: Avis, National, Alamo, and Enterprise.
A fun fact about this seemingly nondescript airport is that the Boeing 747 Air Force One (AF1), one of the world's largest passenger aircraft, has made overnight visits to this airport with every US President for the past 20 years.
