Idaho Falls is a city in the U.S. state of Idaho. It is the county seat of Bonneville County.
Climate
Idaho Falls experiences a humid continental climate with warm and mostly clear summers; and freezing and partly cloudy winters. Precipitation is relatively low. Over the course of the year temperature rarely falls below -3°F or rises above 94°F.
Culture
Originally the area was inhabited by Shoshone-Bannock and Northern Paiute First Nations. It was known as the Eagle Rock Settlement at Taylor’s Ferry. The town was renamed in 1890 and developed first as a railroad division and later as a center of irrigated farming. Today, its main economy is generated from high-tech industry, agriculture, livestock, nuclear testing, and tourism.
