Compare Car Rental at Fargo Hector International Airport (DEN)

Hector International Airport (FAR) is located 3 miles (5 kilometers) northwest of Fargo in the U.S. state of North Dakota. It is the busiest airport in the state, serving nearly a million passengers in 2019. The airport is named after Martin Hector, who donated 50 acres of land to Fargo. Hector Airport is owned by the City of Fargo Municipal Airport Authority.

Interestingly, this airport doesn’t actually have scheduled passenger flights out of the country. However, it still gets its ‘international’ title because it offers customs services for arrivals from Canada and other countries.

The airport is spread across 2500 acres (1000 hectares) and features 3 runways, one of which is the longest public runway in all of North Dakota. It only has 1 terminal. The most popular destination that Hector Airport connects to is Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport (MSN) in Minnesota, served by Delta Air Lines. Other airlines operating out of here include American Airlines, Allegiant Air, Frontier Airlines, and United Express.
