It is located at the northern tip of the country, about 105km (65.2 miles) north of Doha.

The Inland Sea: Officially called Khor Al Adaid, but known to tourists as the Inland Sea, this is an inlet of the Persian Gulf found in southeast Qatar. It was officially declared a nature reserve in 2007, and the Qatari government are hopeful that it will soon join Al Zubara Fort as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the near future. It is located 78km (48.4 miles) south of Doha.
