Preveza is a city in the Epirus region of northwestern Greece. It is located at the mouth of the Ambracian Gulf and is the capital of the regional unit of Preveza.

Preveza was possibly founded by the Albanians at the end of the 14th century. It was under Venetian and Ottoman rule for long periods.
