Kalymnos is served by Kalymnos Island National Airport (JKL) which is located a few kilometres from Pothia, the capital.

Getting Around Kalymnos

The roads in Pothia are normally in excellent shape, making it reasonably easy to get about on Kalymnos. Pothia is connected to all of the settlements and beaches by three major routes. There is a public bus service that connects Pothia to other large settlements. To go to locations where buses do not go, it is best to hire a scooter or a car from the local suppliers. Taxis are also available from the taxi plaza in Pothia. There is a dock at Pothia's major port, thus ferries are feasible. Private excursion boats may be found at Vathy port.
