Visit a UNESCO World Heritage Site
Notre-Dame-du-Port is a 12th-century, Romanesque church that has been designated a World Heritage site. Constructed in very pale sandstone, the building gleams in the sunlight. Inside, the capital stones (the carved stones at the top of columns) depict very elaborate biblical stories. For instance, one shows Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. However, if you look closely, you’ll see that Eve holds not an apple, but a bunch of grapes. This is because, in the 12th-century, most of the fruit cultivated in this region was grapes.

The Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival is the world's largest film festival dedicated to short films. In fact, after Cannes, it is the second-largest film festival in France.
