How JetParks 2 Works

JetParks 2 is a self-park car park on the airport's own grounds, set a little further from the terminal in return for its low daily rate. It suits travellers who don't mind a short bus ride and would rather park the car themselves and keep their keys, with nobody else driving it while they're away.

Drive to the car park, where the number plate cameras read your registration and lift the barrier, so there are no tickets to collect. Find a space, park up, lock the car and take your keys with you. Head to the nearest shuttle stop, where a free bus runs the short trip to the terminal in around 12 to 15 minutes. When you land back, catch the shuttle from the terminal back to JetParks 2, where your car will be waiting exactly where you left it, and the barrier reads your plate again as you drive out.

The free shuttle bus is typically suspended over the winter period (recent years have run from early November through to spring), though JetParks 2 itself remains open and accessible throughout. During this time you'd need to reach the terminal by taxi, as there's no walk-in route from JetParks 2.

How to get there
  1. 1 Leave the M1 or the A42 and join the A453, then rather than turning in at the terminal, stay on the road and continue past the airport for around 2.6 miles until you reach a roundabout.
  2. 2 Take the second exit here, and at the next roundabout take the second exit on your left, which brings you into JetParks 2.
  3. 3 Once parked, follow the signs to the nearest shuttle bus stop for the free transfer to the terminal.
