What to Expect from an Airport Lounge at Doha International Airport?
A great way of adding comfort and excitement to your travels is by indulging in the services offered by airport lounges. Travelling can be tiring, especially with children, so airport lounges are the best way to make your wait as comfortable as possible, allowing you to freshen up, and catch up on much-needed rest.
Doha Airport – also known as Hamad International Airport – is the primary airport serving the city of Doha, the capital of Qatar. The airport is located about 5km east of the city centre and is one of the busiest airports in the Middle East.
The airport serves as the main hub for Qatar Airways, which is one of the world's leading airlines. It also serves many other international airlines, with flights to destinations all around the world. Doha Airport is a great location to be in transit, as the airport has a beautiful modern and luxurious design, with a large terminal building that includes shops, restaurants, lounges, and other amenities.
Some of the notable features of Doha Airport include a large duty-free shopping area, a spa, a swimming pool, and a hotel located within the terminal building. The airport has also won several awards for its design and facilities, including being named the "Best Airport in the Middle East" and the "Best Airport Staff Service in the Middle East" at the Skytrax World Airport Awards.
When it comes to lounges - you are spoilt for choice, with seven different 24-hour operating lounges to choose from. Each lounge offers plenty of facilities including business services, luxury seating, private sleeping rooms and even gourmet food. Children have access to all 7 lounges with some even offering family services.
Qatar is an Islamic, modest country, so although there isn't a specific dress code to enter any of these lounges, it is generally expected that passengers will dress in a manner that is respectful and appropriate for the lounge environment. It is advised to avoid wearing clothing that is too casual or revealing, such as shorts, tank tops, flip-flops, or beachwear. It is also recommended that passengers avoid wearing clothing with offensive language or graphics.
