Vienna International Airport is located just outside of the Austrian capital city, Vienna. It is one of six international airports in Austria, and naturally, it is the busiest of all of them.
Vienna’s location in central Europe makes it an ideal location for those wanting to explore Europe, while also making it a significant layover point for long-haul flights.
Vienna International Airport operates direct flights to locations as far away in the east as Seoul, South Korea, and Los Angeles, California, USA, in the west.
This means that passengers who are preparing to jump on these 10+ hour flights need to be properly relaxed and refreshed beforehand - which is why some of Austria’s best airport lounges are found at Vienna International Airport. The lounge is open daily from 04:30-22:00.
This article will discuss the various lounges found at Vienna International and what you can expect from them.
The Vienna Lounge
Lounge Features
As well as its huge space (including 450 seats), the Vienna Lounge is one of the best lounges any European airport has to offer. There is an assortment of local and international newspapers and magazines, as well as a space for luggage storage. There is also complimentary WiFi, as well as a large selection of food and drinks. There is even a conference area, which can accommodate up to 40 people with a video wall included, as well as family areas and even an outdoor smoking terrace.
Food and Beverage Offerings
With plenty of different foods and drinks on offer, you will never go hungry or thirsty in the Vienna Lounge! As well as traditional Austrian offerings, there is also a range of international foods on offer daily, which are subject to change. Examples include pizza, noodles, and pies, as well as a range of Austrian-style pastries and desserts, which can be found in the “Vienna Coffee Shop” section of the lounge.
Hot and cold drinks are available, alongside a selection of liquors and specially selected local Austrian wines.
Work and Relaxation Zones
For those passengers who are travelling for work, there is the option to undertake some work in the Vienna lounge. Not only is there ample seating and WiFi available to set up your laptop whenever and wherever but there is also a specially dedicated business centre.
This event and conference area has room for up to 40 guests. There is even a video wall (ideal for presentations) which can be booked at an additional charge.
There are also plenty of USB ports dotted around the Vienna Lounge, meaning that if you have forgotten your plug adapters, then there is no need to worry, as long as you have a USB cable.
For those who want to relax rather than work, you can charge up your electronic devices here, as well as download any films or TV shows that you might want to watch on your flight.
There is also a dedicated “relax area” with lounger-style chairs - even better for recharging before your flight.
Shower facilities are also available, ideal for refreshing yourself either on a layover or before a long flight.
How to Book
Passengers who are flying on either first or business-class flights can use the lounge for free or at a reduced rate, respectively. Passengers with economy tickets can purchase admission to the lounge. Book with Enjoy Travel for the best prices.
Reservation Options
Passengers cannot make any reservations or save a seat in the Vienna Lounge. Use of the lounge is included for a maximum of 3 hours.
Walk-In Availability
Based on the capacity of the lounge, walk-ins may or may not be accepted.

The Sky Lounge
Lounge Features
The Sky Lounge is significantly smaller than the Vienna Lounge (150 seats compared to Vienna’s 450). However, this does not mean that the Sky Lounge has compromised on quality in comparison to its Vienna counterpart. With plenty of food and drinks on offer, as well as working spaces, showers and a dedicated smoking area, the Sky Lounge is a good alternative for those departing from Gates F or G, as it is much closer to them than the Vienna Lounge.
Food and Beverage Offerings
The food options include both hot and cold foods, largely centred around Austrian cuisine. However, the food is served buffet style, and global options are also included, so there will be something for everyone.
A wide range of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are on offer, too.
Work and Relaxation Zones
Work-wise, there is a dedicated working area for those who wish to make the most of their time in the airport by working. WiFi access is also granted so any emails can be caught up on if passengers so desire.
This same WiFi service can be used for streaming or downloading films and TV shows, as well as browsing social media apps for those who wish to relax.
The Sky Lounge also has shower facilities, as well as baby changing facilities.
How to Book
Book online to secure your space. Admission to the lounge is based on capacity, so we recommend comparing and searching airport lounges with Enjoy Travel to avoid disappointment.
Reservation Options
Passengers can use the lounge for a maximum of 3 hours.
Walk-In Availability
Based on the capacity of the lounge, walk-ins may or may not be accepted.
