Find the Best Hotel Deals at Belfast International Airport

Belfast International Airport (BFS) is the main airport serving Belfast and operates flights to the UK and overseas destinations from its single terminal. Four main airlines fly from BFS, including popular UK airlines Ryanair and easyJet. Because of its reputation as a trustworthy and favoured airport, BFS is also a popular place to stay. Numerous hotels within the vicinity will provide you with a comfortable and convenient stay, whether pre or post-flight.

Airport hotels are popular accommodation options for travellers who don’t want to venture too far away from the airport, or who are concerned about traffic or missing their flight, especially if it is particularly early or late. As airport hotels can be located either inside the terminal or adjacent to the airport, they are conveniently close, meaning that the hassle and stress of early morning or late travel are avoided.

How to Choose the Best Belfast International Airport Hotel for You

Given the amount of choice on airport hotels in BFS, you may be stuck wondering which one to choose and why. You may also be wondering what to prioritise in your chosen hotel, whether that’s price, amenities or location/distance to the airport. With that said, here are our tips and recommendations on what to consider when choosing your airport hotel to find your perfect one:

Consider your Budget and Preferences

Understanding your budget is one of the most important steps when it comes to booking any type of hotel, whether airport or not. Knowing how much you can spend can give you an idea of the types of hotels you should be looking at. Once you know your budget, you can then begin to search accordingly– remember, a lower-priced hotel doesn’t necessarily mean lower quality, as you can find the same convenient amenities and services in both luxury and budget hotels.

Compare the Location and Distance from the Airport

If you’re the type of person who wants your entire flight experience to be the most convenient it can be, you’ll probably want to look at in-terminal hotels or hotels on the airport precinct. There’s nothing worse than having to fork out extra money for transport to the airport or lugging heavy bags on a 30-minute walk– choose a hotel that is close by for maximum comfort and convenience.

Check the Availability and Amenities of the Hotel

Make sure the amenities at the hotel align with your personal preferences, and that your hotel is available on your flight dates! There’s nothing worse than thinking you’ve found the perfect hotel, only to discover that it’s sold out or higher priced on the dates you need it.

Read the Reviews and Ratings from Current or Previous Guests

Reviews of the hotel can tell you a lot about it– the reviews you tend to see the most are about the value for money, cleanliness, services and location of the hotel, so if these are things you care about, seeing reviews about them can make or break. Remember to remain impartial and not let other people’s reviews influence you, as it’s best to see what the hotel is like for yourself.

What to Expect from Airport Hotels

Amenities and Services

The amenities and services you can expect from BFS Hotels include room service and free breakfast (available at select hotels only), close to the airport, meeting rooms, speedy free Wi-Fi, onsite restaurants/bars, onsite parking (which can be free depending on the hotel), and comfortable, spacious rooms with accessible features. Belfast International Hotels do not feature any luxury amenities like pools, spas or fitness facilities, which tend to be present in more upscale hotels, however, the amenities offered are convenient and will provide you with a comfortable and memorable stay.

Rooms and Facilities

The rooms at many BFS hotels are spacious, comfortable and brightly lit with modern decor, and offer great views, ergonomic workstations, luxury bathrooms and toiletries, mini-fridges and flat-screen TVs, among others. If you so require, accessible rooms, family rooms and interconnecting rooms are also available depending on the hotel.

Policies and Cancellations

Airport hotels are likely to have more flexible cancellation policies and check-in/check-out times to accommodate early and late flights, or any flight cancellations or delays.
