Noosa Heads is a part of the Shire of Noosa in the state ofQueensland. Its main physical features are the Noosa River and the Noosa National Park.
Climate
Noosa Heads is warm and humid throughout the year, and rainfall – when it occurs – is almost always heavy. The cool season is between May and September, and summer is from December to February.

Waves are most gentle at the Main Beach but the local favourite is Peregian Beach, which is quite close to the town market. Take a tour through Noosa National Park
The other major attraction near Noosa Heads is the Noosa National Park, a wilderness spanning about 3000 hectares. Popular spots within the park include Lake Weba, Emu Mountain, and bays such as Granite Bay. Spend enough time here, and you are sure to glimpse wildlife like glossy black cockatoos, swamp orchids, crimson rosellas, koalas and so on. Entry to the park is free.
Go window-shopping on Hastings Street
The town’s main thoroughfare, Hastings Street, has plenty of clothing stores, restaurants and views of the coast, making it a great place to go jogging early in the morning. On the flip side, it gets a bit crowded by evening post-3pm.
