Guide to Jabiru

A tiny township of only 5 square miles, Jabiru is administered by the West Arnhem Regional Council, whose offices can be found in the town plaza alongside the emergency services and magistrate’s court. It’s a pleasant enough town, with welcoming locals, but its appeal as a tourist destination in its own right is limited ̶ any pleasure seekers here are usually passing through or using it as a launchpad for exploring the Kakadu National Park

The Bowali Visitor Centre is one of the main attractions in Jabiru ̶ you can learn all about the Kakadu National Park here thanks to its inspirational interactive displays and well-appointed library, plus there are also souvenirs and gifts aplenty at the Marrawudi Gallery.
